Small in size, large in vision, Shadaglen Kennel on the outskirts of Spokane, Washington, has averaged a champion a year for the 50 continuous years of its existence. From the U. S., Canada, and South America, Shadaglen champion collies have made their mark in the show ring and performance arenas.
To our original vision of creating and maintaining a look of elegance ~ including balance, fluid movement, lovely expression, with, of course, dignified and loving collie temperament, we've added training programs which feature the breed's natural intelligence and talents. To this end, we also work our dogs in obedience, tracking, and herding, and we've supplied service dogs for the disabled.
In 1984 we got our first Saluki, and have enjoyed showing and breeding this ancient and noble breed.
Stop by and visit our dogs ~ you'll find us in the show ring, in an arena herding sheep or ducks, in a grassy field tracking mysterious footprints on a cold, crisp morning, or here on this website. Come on in ~ We'll enjoy sharing our dogs with you.
Sincerely,
Bonnie J. Young & Joyce Berk
